How long does a custom anchor rode take to make?

If the materials are in stock (see below), your order will typically be created within 2-3 business days. We then ship it using UPS ground from Clearwater, FL. If your rode includes a special order item (see below), it could take up to a few weeks to create. If you have a specific timeframe for a special order anchor rode, please give us a call to discuss first: 727-489-4533 or email at info@darkhorsemarine.com

If you need lengths longer than what is listed or larger sizes, please call or email with your specs and your shipping address. Items over 150 lbs must be shipped freight and materials may need to be special ordered. 

What's in stock?

Physically at the warehouse, we stock all of the rope and chain to create our anchor rodes. Everything else is drop-shipped directly to you. Here is our current rope and chain inventory levels.

Galvanized or Stainless? A few points to consider:

Stainless chain offers an aesthetics benefit for those who prefer the continuous shine of stainless on the bow of their boat.

Stainless chain avoids the issues concerning galvanizing and wear. It also stows nicely, because unlike galvanized chain it does not 'cone' in the chain locker (simply because the links are smoother).

Our galvanized chain is high-test G4 short link. It is hot-dipped and with proper care, will provide years of use.
